1. Install snow chains before you travel, instead of installing them after encountering icy and snowy roads, because installing snow chains in temporary parking is more troublesome than installing them in advance, and it is not conducive to safety.
2. When it must be installed or disassembled on the way, be sure to be on a safe and flat road by the roadside. No matter where you are, make sure you give yourself at least 10 feet of clear space in front of and behind your car, with enough room to move the chain around. Also make sure the parking brake is on before your hand touches anywhere near the tire to avoid an accident.
3. Fasten the first buckle of each chain of the snow chain on the tire. Then check to see that each tire is holding the chain in place and that each side has a cog.
4. Then slowly move the car forward or backward a certain distance. After making sure that the tire chain is seated on the tire, fasten the unit with the two opposite sides of the tire chain link. Finally, start the vehicle slowly, and you can judge the installation of the snow chain by the sound of the wheels pressing the ground.
5. Under no circumstances should you drive on a snow-free road with a chain, it will seriously damage your tires.
